Meet Capt. Keener
Founder of Keener Adventures
Born and raised in San Diego, Capt. Reef has spent his entire life on the water. From sailing a 43-foot sailboat to the Channel Islands and Catalina, to exploring the Caribbean with Custom Yacht Charters, his passion for maritime adventure runs deep. He earned his U.S. Coast Guard captain’s license in 2020 during the COVID era and has since captained a wide range of vessels — from intimate Duffy boats to luxury yachts up to 150 feet — throughout San Diego Bay.
With over five years of experience assisting with operations aboard the San Diego–Coronado Ferry, Reef brings both professionalism and local insight to every charter. His time with Action Sport Rentals inspired him to create something more personal and memorable for both locals and visitors — and thus, Keener Adventures was born.
