Discover Keener Adventures

Keener Adventures is a unique tours, activities, and travel company dedicated to creating meaningful experiences that bring people together. Founded by Reef Keener in 2024 while working as a rental boat operator in San Diego, the company began with a simple vision: to create local adventures where everyone feels welcome, included, and connected.

What started with sunset cruises and small group tours has grown into a diverse collection of travel experiences, community events, and on-the-water adventures. Today, Keener Adventures proudly hosts inclusive LGBTQ+ events, group travel excursions to destinations such as Avalon on Catalina Island and Tijuana, Mexico, as well as signature experiences including Pride Boat Cruises on Mission Bay and San Diego Bay.

With more than 15 years of maritime experience, Reef brings a lifelong passion for the water, travel, and hospitality to every event. Having grown up living aboard a sailboat and exploring new destinations, he combines professional expertise with a deep appreciation for adventure, community, and authentic local experiences. As a San Diego native, Reef takes pride in showcasing the best of Southern California while creating opportunities for people from all walks of life to connect and celebrate together.

At its core, Keener Adventures is committed to designing tailored boutique cruises, tours, and events that are welcoming, memorable, and accessible to all. Whether it’s a local harbor cruise, an exciting day trip, or a one-of-a-kind celebration, every experience is built around the belief that life’s best moments are shared together.
